Sticky Stones Matchmaker reimagines our relationship with the (assumed) inanimate. Opening space for care, play, and deepening attachments beyond the human.
Participants entered the sticky realm of lithic love, where stones became sentient companions. Through sensory encounters beyond sight and assumptions, they explored touch, memory, and intuition to form bonds with their ‘blind dates.’ As a final act of commitment, they created carrier bags to seal their newfound relationships.

Sticky Stones Matchmaker reimagines our relationship with the (assumed) inanimate. Opening space for care, play, and deepening attachments beyond the human.
This workshop invited participants into the sticky realm of lithic love. Here, stones are not just passive objects but sentient companions with unique personalities and desires. Through sensory encounters, we collectively shifted from merely observing to forming meaningful bonds with lithic matches. By engaging beyond sight and assumptions, the participants explored touch, memory, and intuition to connect with their ‘blind dates.’
As a final act of commitment, the participants created carrier bags to seal their newfound relationships. To conclude, the group marked their connections through a shared gesture of offering, solidifying their bond with their chosen stone.
